  8.       Thank you for downloading ExtractIt! for System 1.5.6.  This program allows you to get tons of cool information on your computer, plus diagnose some components of your system for problems or potential problems.  If you are wondering what’s new from version 1.5, then you’re in luck!  Check under the History of Changes section.

  10. Getting Started
  11.       When you first launch ExtractIt! for System, you will be greeted with a window and a greeting message.  That window will display the specs or diagnostic results of whatever you choose.  You can close it—ExtractIt! for System will re-create it when neccessary.  Note that closing it doesn’t quit the program.
  12.      Just select any of the menu items from the Gestalt, Environment, or Diagnose menus to begin.  That’s all there is to it!  For more information and definitions of various terms, select Guide from the

  17. Installation
  18.       All you have to do is place the ExtractIt! for System and ExtractIt! for System Guide files in the same folder, and you’re set!  You may need to have Color QuickDraw and Apple Guide installed to run this program.  It doesn’t ask for much from you: all you need is 384K of RAM and about 600K of disk space (plus eight bucks).

  21.       ExtractIt! for System is shareware.  If you use it, please send us a check or US cash (no money orders or traveler’s checks) to the address below.  If you do, you will be rewarded with our love, and you will be e-mailed the next three updates.  The money will go into development of ExtractIt! for System.

  24.                      Following is a history of what we fixed or added in previous versions of ExtractIt! for System.  Though we don’t have versions 1.0 or 1.0.1 available, you can obtain them for older Macs by contacting us.

  26.                     1.0.1: Fixed minor bug.  Added one more tester.
  27.                     1.5: Reworked window-based interface.  Over 40 new testing and more diagnostic tools.
